Bayu S.
Fractional COO helping mid-market B2B companies grow.
Bayu S. builds web applications, AI systems, and automation for businesses. His work brings together development, marketing, and operations, with a focus on how a company’s tools connect to the people and processes behind them.
He started in 2019 by building websites for local businesses. As he worked more closely with business owners, his role grew to include advertising and lead generation. Since then, Bayu has worked with more than 500 companies and contributed to over 300 websites. His development and marketing work has included businesses in roofing, flooring, and real estate and was associated with approximately $6.1 million in gross client revenue.
Marketing appealed to Bayu because it gave him a reason to pay attention to people, culture, and the news, then see how those things showed up in the market. He enjoys learning what an audience responds to, testing an idea, and seeing what happens.
Working with local businesses also taught him that a small change can have a substantial impact. He noticed that website inquiries could sit in an email inbox while an owner was busy running the business. By forwarding those inquiries to the owner’s phone through SMS, he made them easier to see and respond to. Following Alex Hormozi’s advice, he encouraged clients to call within five hours, or within ten minutes when possible. For businesses he worked with, that kind of follow-up led to two to four times as many paying customers.
That attention to gaps in everyday processes led him further into automation. He began working with AI in 2023, starting with workflows in n8n. In one project, he connected proposal generation, payments, invoicing, and CRM updates using Stripe, QuickBooks, and HubSpot. When a customer paid through Stripe, the workflow triggered an invoice and updated the relevant CRM record. He now also develops custom workflows with AI, giving him more control over how applications exchange data and handle errors.
His AI work includes the infrastructure behind applications that use multiple models. Bayu has built provider-aware systems using OpenRouter and Google Gemini, with model switching, provider-specific requests, response normalization, API-key management, fallbacks, retries, and activity logging. In 2025, he used Arcee Trinity to build a decision layer that helped determine how workflows should proceed. Today, he uses Jev for much of that work. His experience also includes OpenAI, Claude, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and context management across different tasks and stages of a workflow.
Bayu looks for practical ways to use AI in the same businesses he has worked with throughout his career. An after-hours agent, for example, can help a business respond to inquiries when nobody is available to answer the phone. His goal is to help owners find gaps in their existing processes and make changes that lead to more opportunities and a more profitable business.
Alongside his client work, Bayu founded a learning platform and community for people offering digital services. Its goal is to help people in the Global South understand business culture in the United States, bring more structure to their work, and find ways to collaborate rather than compete by continually lowering their prices.
He also founded and previously ran a media company that covered news and trends relevant to local businesses. Whether he’s studying a market or learning how an application’s infrastructure works, Bayu enjoys figuring things out. He sees learning as part of the fun and wants to keep finding opportunities to grow, then share what he learns with others.
